Document Management Programs

Kailey Olsen posted a discussion in Litigation Practice
Hi all,

Our firm is doing research into obtaining new document management software. I'm curious what other firms are using and whether you think the software is helpful. I've used Time Matters in the past and while it does have some great features for time calculation and etc., it feels unintuitive and adding things into the program takes awhile. Also once you complete your BF it disappears from the system...

Thanks for your thoughts!

As a DMS, I really like it and I don't use it to its full capacity. However, it's not an all-inclusive program like others are (you mentioned BFs and to my knowledge, it doesn't have a BF component or any time management component). But, it's really easy to save and search documents and others tell me it's quite easy to create specialized searches. The problem is in order for it to work properly, everyone has to use the same naming conventions, which some people are not inclined to do. Hope this helps!
