The Benchers of the Law Society of BC have unanimously passed a resolution to ask the government to bring into force the amendments to the Legal Profession Act in Bill 57 – 2018 Attorney General Statutes Amendment Act, 2018 in order to permit the licensing of paralegals.
The BC Paralegal Association is in full support of the licensing of paralegals. This year, the board of the BCPA have been working tirelessly to bring this into effect and to focus on Access to Justice.
We intend to keep this momentum going and will continue to advocate for paralegals in BC.
