Welcome to The Essential Ingredient: the BC Paralegal Association's first-ever members' conference!  Register, and you will learn the essential ingredients for every paralegal practice.  We'll cover today's pertinent legal topics, and mental wellness, and we'll have an opportunity to hear from our amazing keynote speaker, Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, the first female - and longest serving - chief justice of the Supreme Court of Canada! 

Afterwards, join us for an optional wine tasting - a great opportunity to network with peers.

Please note that you must purchase a ticket for the general Conference Registration, and for your preferred Choose Your Own Adventure session (litigation or non-litigation).

Tickets are available to current BC Paralegal Association members only.  One ticket per person.  (Please see below for information about bursaries for members in financial need.)

 

Regular-Priced tickets available now:

  • $79.00 for voting, student and affiliate members;
  • $149.00 for corporate members.

 

Please note that you must purchase a ticket for the general Conference Registration, and for your preferred Choose Your Own Adventure session (litigation or non-litigation).

 

Your ticket includes all courses in the programme except the optional virtual wine-tasting / social hour.  Tickets to the wine tasting are $88.85 ($77 + taxes & bottle deposit) plus $20 shipping within BC, and must be purchased from Hillside Winery directly.  The deadline to purchase a ticket in order to guarantee your wine delivery arrives in time for the tasting is September 3, 2021.  Hillside Winery cannot guarantee timely delivery of wine tasting orders placed after this date.  For details of the wines included, and to purchase tickets for the virtual tasting, please click HERE.

 

Payment:

Unless you have been approved for a bursary, full payment is due by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.  For late registrants (anyone registering after 4:00 P.M. on September 8th), payment is due by 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 16, 2021.  Payment must be made by credit card via this website.  Payment by cheque will not be accepted for this conference.  Failure to pay by the deadline will result in your registration being canceled.

 

Bursaries:

If you are a BC Paralegal Association voting, student or affiliate member in financial need, and you are unable to afford the cost of registration for this conference, please be aware that a limited number of bursaries are available.  Please email info@bcparalegalassociation.com with your name, contact information and brief description of your circumstances, to apply for a bursary.  All bursary requests will be kept confidential, and will be considered, but only a limited number of bursaries will be granted.  We will respond to all bursary applicants to let them know whether they have been granted a bursary.  Bursaries do not include the optional wine-tasting.
