 The BCPA offers its next  Professional Development Course of 2023 on the topic of LTSA and the Role of Paralegals

BC Paralegals are invited to join Land Title and Survey Authority of BC (LTSA) Registrar of Land Titles Larry Blaschuk for a presentation on the land title system, and the vital role paralegals play in ensuring the continued integrity of BC’s land register. This session covers the journey of an application from preparation through to registration. Examination, automation, as well as common defects and how to avoid them are some of the topics that will be explored. With a deeper understanding of LTSA and its systems, attendees will be better equipped to prepare registrable land title packages.

LARRY BLASCHUK

Larry Blaschuk is Registrar of Land Titles at the Land Title and Survey Authority of BC (LTSA), responsible for ensuring the integrity of records in the land title register. Larry joined the LTSA in 2008 from private practice as a solicitor and as corporate counsel with one of BC’s leading registration service providers. He has extensive real estate and corporate/commercial practice experience serving both commercial and residential clients throughout his career. Outside of the LTSA, Larry is active in the community, coaching track and field since 2006 and attending the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games and numerous World Athletics Championship with his athletes. Larry obtained his LL.B. / J.D. from the University of British Columbia.
