Synopsis

Please join us for an interesting panel discussion on recent developments concerning the law of injunctions in the context of natural resource projects. Topics to be discussed include the recent decision of the B.C. Supreme Court in Teal Cedar Products Ltd. v. Rainforest Flying Squad, 2021 BCSC 1903; the historical use and development of civil injunctions in response to civil disobedience; the availability of enforcement orders; civil and criminal contempt proceedings; and related issues. Our esteemed panelists will discuss their recent experiences in injunction-related matters, on behalf of police agencies, injunction applicants, and environmental protestors.
