BCPA Privacy Policy

The BC Paralegal Association respects your privacy.  The information that you provide is collected to keep in touch with you and to verify your identity for membership processing, maintenance and renewal purposes as well as to develop programs and services to better serve you.  We do not provide our information to any outside firms, except where they are providing a technical service or administering our benefits program and agree that our information is confidential.

Your info is only made public at your discretion.  For instance voting members may opt to have their contact information included in published legal directories that are available to the legal community.

Your information is made available to other members at your discretion should you opt to participate in internal member directories.  Members are asked to respect the privacy of their fellow members by limiting the use of the contact information shared here for their own personal purposes.  Any abuse occurring by members accessing the internal directories will result in warnings and the possible suspension or termination of membership benefits and membership itself.

Should your membership lapse we will erase our records and shred any hardcopies after a grace period.  The grace period allows you to renew within a limited period without having to provide supporting documents should your membership lapse.  The time period is at the discretion of our membership chair but is unlikely to exceed a year or two.

You may access your member profile to view and update your information at any time.  Should you have any questions, please contact us at info@bcparalegalassociation.com
